Hi, my name is Terri Newbauer. I have been showing Great Pyrenees for about 21 years. My kennel name is Yelah. My first great pyrenees name was Haley, that is where the name Yelah comes from. It is Haley spelled backwards. That way a little bit of Haley is in every dog I breed.
I saw my first great pyrenees in the early 1970's, my mother had two. When I had children of my own, I decided to get a great pyrenees. I wanted a good watchdog and a dog good with children. I also started showing in conformation. I had a good mentor that taught me a lot. I have bred five generations of pyrenees. I have made sure all have had their hips cleared free from dsyplasia. My puppies are born and raised in the home. I don't have many litters, maybe one every one or two years.
I have had two dogs win Best of Winners and Winners Dog at the Heart of Ohio Great Pyrenees Club Regional Specialty. I have a dog ,that I was the breeder of, shown in the Eukanuba National Dog Show. Sugar, his daughter, won Best Puppy in Sweeps at a regional specialty. Logan , my other male, won Best Veteran at the same show. He is also an International Therapy Dog. I am also a member of the Heart of Ohio Great Pyrenees Club and the Great Pyrenees Club of America.
